In the fall of 2012, we co-created “7 Deadly Sins of the Writing Life,” an essay series for the literary journal Hunger Mountain. The intense collaborative process that produced the series reshaped us as writers, and taught us how we wanted to approach our writing lives. And that work is still teaching us, as we continue to apply the revelations of those essays to our daily writing practice, process, and business. To celebrate our 10th anniversary, we’re re-publishing the essays here, one at a time, from November 2022, through May 2023. We’ll publish an essay on the first day of the month, coinciding with each new issue of our literary magazine, Waterwheel Review. You’ll find links to the essays at the top of this page.
May you indulge and enjoy all writing sins forevermore. November 1, 2022
